BELLRINGER:  It is still kind of QUIZ DAY! You should all be finishing the INDEPENDENT PROJECT/SKILLS QUIZ: THE WINTER LANDSCAPE: Please use your newfound MAYA skills in creating, manipulating, lighting and coloring objects to emulate the look of this WINTER LANDSCAPE. Your model should include mountains, snow, pine trees and deciduous trees. You do not need to exactly copy the original, but your scene should look similar in style and scope. You DO NOT have to add lighting and shadows!

If you forgot how to use COLOR in a scene, here is MR. BURKHARD'S BASIC COLORIZATION VIDEO TUTORIAL ON YOUTUBE.COM.  Save this to your YELLOW DRIVE MAYA FOLDER and name it SNOW_SCENE. I would like to be able to grade this SOON, please. This will be a 50 point "SKILLS QUIZ."

OUR ASSIGNMENTS FOR TODAY:

MAYA FOR BEGINNERS PLAYLIST: There is an upcoming CHALLENGE in the MAYA FOR BEGINNER'S PLAYLIST- The one at video number #29.  For this challenge, you are making "Something to go on the table."  As you have already completed a SWORD model earlier in the semester, so let's try something else that might be appropriate.  How about a crossbow or a demonic statue or something cool like that?

Here is my online folder that contains the RESOURCE PACK for this tutorial. Use it to download files and other resources, as needed. Most of the files you need will be found in the SOURCEIMAGES folder!
