Yearbook: Do a Survey Assignment
|
BACKGROUND: One of the things that we would like to include in our Yearbook this year is a number of graphs that discuss the results of surveys that we give to the student body regarding different topics of interest throughout the year. This project will allow you to create a survey question and then report the survey question results in the form of a useable GRAPH that we can put into the yearbook. The ASSIGNMENT: If you have had Mr. B. for Freshman Technology class, this assignment will be simple and straightforward. If you have not, you will need to do a little bit of learning about how to create a form and how to turn the form results into a graph. PLEASE REFER TO THIS ASSIGNMENT SHEET REGARDING GOOGLE FORMS if you have no idea how to create a form or to THIS ASSIGNMENT SHEET REGARDING GOOGLE SHEETS AND GRAPHS if you have no idea how to create a graph. PROPER TOPICS FOR YOUR SURVEY: You will need to come up with a survey topic that is of interest to HHS students in the year 2023. I would like to see some surveys about such topics as the following. FEEL FREE TO MAKE UP YOUR OWN, USING THESE IDEAS AS A GUIDELINE!:
HOW TO COMPLETE YOUR SURVEY: That is up to you, but a survey needs to have enough survey respondents to be a valid survey. I need to see AT LEAST 20 surveyed students, preferably from ALL LEVELS of student- Freshmen, Sophomore, etc. If you survey a particular class, make sure that you survey ALL students that are taking that class. You can and probably SHOULD ask for help from your teachers, if you are doing a class survey. You can either do a paper survey or a GOOGLE FORM survey, whichever makes more sense for you. HOW TO COMPLETE YOUR GRAPH: You must create a valid graph, using GOOGLE SHEETS, when you have completed your survey. We need this to have a GOOD TITLE and AXIS LABELS and we need to be able to screenshot this graph to put into the Yearbook. Please SCREENSHOT your Graph by clicking SHIFT-PRINTSCREEN on your computer while your graph is full size on the screen and then EDIT-PASTE your graph image into PHOTOSHOP. Then SAVE this to the proper BLUE DRIVE WEEKLY_ASSIGNMENTS folder for grading and use in the Yearbook. GRADING (50 point assignment):
