Page Model Emulation

BACKGROUND: We are about to start working on the development of our yearbook pages for our first deadline. Many students appear to be unsure as to how to put pages together. Although there are lots of resources to help show us the way, a little emulation exercise might be useful. To that end, we will be copying the look of one of four different yearbook pages, using the layout of an award winning page and the colors, fonts, photographs and information of Highland High School. THE PAGES: Here are four award winning pages from Josten's Yearbooks around the country. Select ONE as your model. MAKING THE PAGES: Jump online and create a new Practice Page with your name on it. Start putting together the elements of the page that you have selected EXACTLY as it is shown above. (Clicking on your page will bring up a larger image for your consideration.) You will likely need to interview, poll, and photograph the other members of Yearbook to get the content that you need to fill in your page. In addition, make sure that you are ONLY USING the following page elements:

A NOTE ABOUT YEARBOOK ACTIVITIES: Participation
in this project does not exempt the student from other Yearbook duties
such as photographing at events, writing articles for the School Blog
or any other tasks that might be assigned. |
