BACKGROUND:
We have been discussing our theme for next year's yearbook over the last day or so. It is time to start putting together some templates for this.
PUTTING YOUR PAGE TOGETHER: You have until MAY 9, 2023, please have all of the following ELEMENTS completed as PRACTICE PAGES in YearbookAvenue.com.
OUR IDEAS SO FAR (CLICK ON THE THUMBNAIL TO ENLARGE!):

We are putting together a yearbook next year based on "CHAPTERS" of High School, starting with Freshman, then moving on to Sophomore, Junior and Senior. For this assignment, you will be creating a DOUBLE ACADEMIC PAGE layout regarding YOUR CLASS. You should include the following:
- Clean layout.
- White Space.
- Photos and stories regarding CLASSES THAT YOUR CLASS REGULARLY TAKES. Put a BORDER around your photos. Use photos from this year that would fit on your page.
- A stripe across the top of the page with page number, book section and book page, as well as you name. In addition, please include a series of small photos across the top with captions/quotes.
- A stripe across the bottom of the page with quote and photographs regarding the topic of the page.
- A large photograph with an extended caption ON TOP OF THE PHOTOGRAPH. You can do this with a semi-opaque box underneath, contrasting color text, whatever you think works best.
- Include photo captions in a way that you think works best.
- Create a TWO FONT TEXT TITLE for the page. This should include a skinny font and a heavy font in combination. Please use the FONT book to find the fonts you want to use. Ask Mr. B. to put install the fonts that you like.
- Colors, however you think they should be applied to the page.
- A MASK. For this part of the page, please use the YEARBOOK AVENUE MASK TOOL. We need to see if this works or if we need to purchase Photoshop for the class.
- QUICK READS: Please include a graph, chart, survey, etc. that fits in with your page. You can make this up. PLEASE NOTE: There are INFOGRAPHICS in the CLICK AND GO SECTION of the DESIGN SECTION of the left menu system.
- Please include a student QUOTE on your page in a creative way.
RESOURCES: I would recommend looking in LOOK BOOKS for ideas for ways to present titles on your pages.
GRADING: All students must complete this assignment, whether you will be here for Yearbook next year or not. THIS NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED IN A PROFESSIONAL AND THOROUGH MANNER. WE DID NOT DO WELL WITH THE NEXT YEAR'S THEME PROJECT, THIS WILL MAKE UP FOR IT. IF YOU DO NOT CREATE A FACTORY READY PAGE FOR THIS PROJECT, YOU WILL RECEIVE A VERY POOR SCORE.
The final products will be graded as follows:
- All pages included all required elements and layouts:= 50
points.
- Page looks polished and professional=: 50 points
