THE BIRTH OF THE REVOLUTION PROJECT.

BACKGROUND: For this assignment, you will be researching some of the events that led up to the American Revolution in 1776.

SOURCE FOR RESEARCH:  Students will need to use online materials to locate materials that support their information for their project.

THE ASSIGNMENT:   You will be working by yourself. There may be others working on the same year as you, but you are not in a group together. You will create an "INFOGRAPHIC" regarding the events of the year in question. I would like this to be as illustrative and informative as possible, include dates, locations, actions, illustrations, people involved, maps, etc. Your presentation should include (but not be limited to) the following pieces of information:

  • A chronological presentation of all of the EVENTS that are listed for your year that lead up to the Revolutionary War. You can and should include other events from your year, if you can!
  • DESCRIPTIONS AND ILLUSTRATIONS AND MAPS of the people, pleaces and actions of the individuals involved in the events of that year, including any relevant LAWS, LEGISLATION, REACTIONS OR PROTESTS leading up to or resulting from your events.
  • The IMPORTANCE of this event in the leadup to the Revolutionary War. How did this event effect the feelings of the Colonists with regards to the upcoming "Fight for Independence?"

HOW TO PROCEED: To begin, you will need to do some research. What happened during this event? PLEASE DO NOT JUST COPY SOME INFORMATION FROM A WEBSITE, YOU ARE ACTING AS HISTORIANS TO RECREATE THESE EVENT FROM MULTIPLE SOURCES.

I would like you to create an INFOGRAPHIC on CANVA or a GOOGLE DRAWING regarding your year, complete with dates, illustrations, information regarding events, etc.

SUBMISSION:  When you are done with your presentation, SHARE IT WITH MR. B. THROUGH GOOGLE DRIVE.

GRADING:  This assignment will be worth a total of 50 points per person. I am expecting to see evidence of 30-45 minutes worth of work on this project for each student participating.
