PROJECT: This assignment sheet is for students that are more than one project behind. This is a deal to get the student caught up without adversely effecting their grade.

THE DEAL: This catch up assignment is for students that are behind on the following projects:

• The Moral of the Story
• The Walk in the Park
• The Spaceship

HERE IS MY OFFER: To get caught up, watch the video Tutorials for the projects that you have yet to start. For each project, complete a simple Flash animation that shows the following:

• For the Moral of the Story: Complete a short animation in which two F-8 Symbols move on the screen at the same time (you will need at least two layers for this).
• For the Walk in the Park: Complete a short animation in which a movie clip moves from one side of the screen to the next. (This should NOT be a flapping bird from the video, do something original!)
• For the Spaceship: Complete a short animation in which an F-8 Symbol moves around the screen on a Motion Guide. If you wish to use the Bee/Flower animation from the video tutorial, that is fine.

VIDEO TUTORIALS:

• Moving Multiple Objects on the Flash Stage Simultaneously.
• Advanced Animation using Flash: Creating Movie Clips.
• Advanced Animation: Using Motion Guides in Flash.

SUBMISSION: Save these animations as lastname_MORAL, lastname_WALK or lastname_SPACESHIP and put them into my DROPBOX. I want the .fla files that have RED icons.

GRADING: I will NOT GRADE these assignments. You will receive an X in the gradebook, which means that the assignment never existed for you. This will not help or hurt your grade. If you DO NOT TURN IN ANYTHING FOR AN ASSIGNMENT, you will receive a ZERO for that project. (You must turn in either the completed assignment or the Catch-up Bargain offer assignment listed above.)

SKILLS FOR THE FUTURE: ALL of these Flash skills are going to be needed on the next project, the Music Video. In addition, these three skills (Using Layers, Making Movie Clips and Creating Motion Guides) will all be directly on the Final Examination. Even though you do not have to complete the full assignments for them, you still must know the techniques!
