PREMISE: We
have just started working in Macromedia Fireworks, learning how to
create some basic vector graphics and manipulate some colors and
shapes. Our first deliverable for this unit is the creation of a simple
BUMPER STICKER, using some of the basic Fireworks tools.
HOW TO PROCEED:
- You will be using your newfound Fireworks skills
to create a bumpersticker of your choice.
- Create a new CANVAS, 12 INCHES wide by 4 INCHES
tall, pick any background color you like.
- Use the RECTANGLE tool to create an inside
box for your bumpersticker. Size it so that it is almost as big as
your original canvas, so that it looks like there is a border around
your bumpersticker.
- Using the TEXT TOOL and a large thick font,
type in the message for your bumpersticker. KEEP IT SCHOOL APPROPRIATE! "I
love AutoCAD" would be a perfect message!
- Place interesting STROKES and FILLS on the
letters in your message.
- Using the POLYGON tool, decorate the remaining
areas in your bumpersticker with STARS, make sure that they have
different strokes and fills, so that they look interesting.
- When you are done, EXPORT PREVIEW your file
and save it as a JPEG. Call the file "lastname_bumpersticker.jpg" and
turn it into my DROPBOX.
- This assignment will be worth 25 points!
