AutoCAD
Assignment 3: Lines, Circles, Trim Review
|
The
contents of this Assignment: The following has
a few POLAR TRACKING problems, as well as more opportunities to practice
LINE, CIRCLE, TRIM
and OSNAP.
Think of this as a REVIEW of the commands above.
Before you get started: Create a “lastname_autoCAD_3” folder on your network space. Save all of the following drawings into this folder. The Assignment: Replicate the following figures: DRAWING 1: Page 51, Problem 1. (Use the OBJ SNAP-QUADRANT here.) DRAWING 2: Page 136, PICK ONE of the three figures on this page to recreate. (Your drawing should look exactly like the figure in the book when completed.) DRAWING 3: Page 136, PICK ANOTHER of the three figures on this page to recreate. (Your drawing should look exactly like the figure in the book when completed.) DRAWING 4: Recreate the figure below to the best of your abilities. (Use circle, line and trim and a bunch of educated guesses to make the lamp as perfect as possible.) I have some hard copies available if that will help with the drawing of the figure. DRAWING 5: Page 81, Problem 7. (Use the POLAR TRACKING set at 15 degrees to find all of the centers for the circles of this problem.) DRAWING 6: Page 140, Problem 3. (Just draw the front part of this figure, don’t worry about the dumb book instructions and the 3D stuff.) DRAWING 7: Page 101, Problem 1. (You have done a problem just like this already, but now complete it with numbers on the drawing to guide you.) DRAWING 8: Page 122, Problem 2. (Again, use OBJ SNAP-QUADRANT on this problem. Lots of trimming is needed, as well.) DRAWING 9: Page 173, Figure 12-8. (Draw this door as exactly as possible. Make sure that all lines in the windows line up evenly!) CHALLENGE PROBLEM #10: Page 922, Problem 33. Complete this problem to show your AutoCAD prowess. EXTREME CHALLENGE PROBLEM #11: Complete the drawing below. Be as accurate as you can to replicate the look of the original drawing. Use straight lines as needed in place of slight curves. Try creating only the TOP HALF of this image and then I can show you how to use the MIRROR command to complete the drawing. I have some hard copies available to help, if necessary. EXTREME CHALLENGE PROBLEM #12: Complete the drawing below. For a drawing with all lines and numbers available, this figure is very difficult to complete correctly. The proper starting point will definitely help.
