3DS Max: The 3D Animation Independent Project.

The PROJECT: For this Independent Modeling Project, students will be in charge of completing an independent project that demonstrates their acquired skills and techniques regarding animation in 3DS Max.

REQUIREMENTS: This is a project that YOU will complete based on your level of ability and your interests. This should be a project that will take at least a few class periods to complete. This project is designed to allow the student to demonstrate their 3DS Max abilities learned since our last Independent Modeling Project.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Before beginning your project, you should have completed all of the projects and quizzes from Chapters 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14.
  2. Students MUST demonstrate their knowledge of animation, lighting, cameras and rendering in the completion of this project. (Rigging or CAT objects is NOT required, but can be included, if the student wishes!)
  3. It will be the job of the student to DEMONSTRATE how their project reflects all of the learned skills demonstrated in #2 above.
  4. You must be able to complete your project within 2-3 class periods.

SUBMISSION AND DEADLINES: SENIORS will be required to RENDER their project and have it ready for inspection and grading by Mr. B. by TUESDAY, May 17th, the day of their Final Exam. Underclassmen will have until FRIDAY, May 20th to complete this project. This will be a 200 point assignment and is NOT the Final Project/Examination.
