Objective

Create a 1–2 minute explainer video using Canva that clearly and creatively explains how a specific type of Artificial Intelligence (AI) works. Utilize visuals, metaphors, and your own narration to make the concept accessible and engaging.

1. Here are your AI Topics- If your birthdate is the following, here is your specific AI area of explanation:

If you were born on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd of a month- How does a Chatbot Work? (e.g., ChatGPT)

2. Research and Understand

Use reliable sources to research your chosen topic. Understand the basic workings, purpose, and real-life examples of the AI application.

3. Consult ChatGPT for Assistance

Interact with ChatGPT to:

• Gain a simplified explanation of your topic. MAKE SURE THAT YOU DESCRIBE THE FOLLOWING REGARDING YOUR AI TOOL (how does AI get your information, what does it do with your information and what the AI output would be for the tool):

  INPUT>PROCESSING>OUTPUT

• Develop creative metaphors or analogies.

• Draft a script or outline for your video.

Example Prompt:

"Hi ChatGPT, I'm creating a 1-minute video explaining how facial recognition AI works. Can you help me understand it simply and suggest a fun metaphor?"

4. Plan Your Video (this is not completely required, but I highly recommend that you do it!)

Outline your video structure:

• TITLE: What are you explaining? Give an interesting graphic or teaser.
• Explanation (45-60 seconds): Describe how the AI works using your research and metaphors. You should have NEW VISUAL CONTENT EVERY FIVE SECONDS, just like in your AI STORY PRESENTATION. Explain how your AI TOOL works, VISUALLY!
• Conclusion (10–15 seconds): Summarize the importance or impact of the AI application.

5. Create Your Video in Canva

• Sign in to Canva and select a new blank video.

• Incorporate visuals, text and animation to complement your narration.

• Record your voiceover or use a text-to-speech model such as luvvoice.com to explain your AI Tool.

6. Review and Submit

• Watch your video to ensure clarity and engagement.
• Check sound levels. We need to be able to hear ALL of your sound and explanations!
• Make necessary edits for timing and content accuracy.
• Submit the final video by CLICKING ON THE "HOW AI TOOLS WORK VIDEO" UPLOAD FORM.
