Overview of the Project: We have reviewed lots and lots of ways of presenting information to audiences so far this quarter. For this project, we will investigate another possible tool that could be used in school- CANVA.

Getting Started: First, go to CANVA.com and log in with your SCHOOL EMAIL. Notice that you have access to a bunch of different tools and templates on the home page. You have a few options for this project, the C OPTION, the B OPTION or the A OPTION. You get to choose, let's go over these one at a time:

• THE C OPTION: You open a pre-created template in Canva and create an static (unanimated) advertisement for your Favorite Thing company and its products and services. This is the bare minimum that is expected for this project and will get you a C on this project, if executed perfectly.
• THE B OPTION: You open an pre-created ANIMATED template in Canva and create an animated advertisement for your Favorite Thing company and its products and services. This is the slightly more difficult option that will earn you a bit of a higher grade for the project. This will give you a B on the project, if executed perfectly.
• THE A OPTION: You will create YOUR OWN CANVA ADVERTISEMENT that includes ANIMATION that you created for your Favorite Thing Company. This will give you an A on this project, if you execute it perfectly.

Your FAVORITE THING COMPANY: For this project, you will create an advertisement for your favorite thing company. Think of this as a social media advertsement or post that is designed to attract the attention of possible customers and make them interested in your product and your company.

The Project: Your assignment is to create an ANIMATED SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISEMENT FOR YOUR FAVORITE THING COMPANY. Your advertisement MUST include all of the following elements:

1. The name of your FAVORITE THING PRODUCT OR BUSINESS.
2. The company website for your business (you will need to look this up, if you don't know it.)
3. The THING THAT YOU ARE ADVERTISING. It is highly recommended that you use animated images and creative text layouts in your advertisement. This can be for a sale, an event, a new product, etc. BE CREATIVE.
4. An eye appealing and catchy design and animation.
5. Your advertisement must look professional and appealing. If it looks "Middle School" in any way, you will receive a ZERO for this project!

Learning CANVA BASICS: If you have not used Canva before, you will need to use Canva's own learning tools and tutorials to figure out how to use CANVA. You can find them on the CANVA LEARNING PAGE.

Submitting your work: When you have created your Animated Advertisement, please SHARE>DOWNLOAD>MP4 or ANIMATED GIF and save it to your FRESHMAN_TECHNOLOGY folder for grading. This will be a 50 point project.
