The Project:  “How-to Video Project.” A Drone Skills/ Filmora X Editing Project.

Premise:We recently made a YOUTUBE INTRO VIDEO. Now the time has come to make the actual video that goes with this intro. You will need to not only master a drone skill, but also edit together your instructions for others as to how to use this skill, including footage from your DJI app, as well.

The Model: We reviewed a quickshot video tutorial by popular Youtuber FLYTPATH. We will use this as a model for our videos.

The Product: You will be a HOW TO VIDEO that has all of the following components:

• Your video should START with your YOUTUBE INTRO VIDEO recently created in class. Then, your video should begin demonstrating how to use POINT OF INTEREST/CIRCLE SHOT.
• A TITLE SPLASH at the beginning of your video which identifies the subject of your HOW TO video.
• Video that covers ALL of the steps to create a POINT OF INTEREST/CIRCLE SHOT video, including all buttons pushed, all settings, all stick movements, etc. You will record these on your phone using your SCREEN RECORDING APP.
• Video footage FROM YOUR DRONE as you create your POINT OF INTEREST/CIRCLE SHOT. This will show the "output" of your drone for the viewer to see what you are creating as you create it. You should switch between the two videos (drone footage and phone footage) as needed to demonstrate what is happening in your HOW TO.
• CALLOUTS, as needed. Include arrows, instructional text, etc., as needed, to show your viewer what to do and what to click.
• BACKGROUND MUSIC that fills the quiet times in your video, which you will have, as you will be demonstrating your quickshots.
• CLEAR AND SIMPLE VERBAL explanations of what the user needs to be doing to create their own shot. Please complete this task in the form of a VOICEOVER RECORDING from within Filmora X. You will need a recording headset or a Snowball to do this. I do not want to hear that you can't complete this project because you are "too shy" to record your voiceover. If necessary, you can come in before or after school to complete this!
• AN OUTRO, in which you close your video. At this point, please record the standard "If you liked this video, please subscribe and comment." You should also consider adding graphics for this, as well, there are plenty of them available!
• Burn out your video as "LASTNAME_HOW_TO_VIDEO.mp4". Save this video to the proper YELLOW DRIVE FOLDER for viewing and grading.

Grading:  You will be graded on your ability to incorporate different FILMORA AND DRONE FLIGHT techniques, properly include all of the required elements and create an informative and easy to follow HOW TO video. This will be a 50 point project.
