BACKGROUND: Because of new state requirements, we will be conducting a "Pre-test" and a "Post-test" in Graphic Design, which will enable us to see what progress you have made in the art of Graphic Design over the course of the year. You will be asked to complete a very similar assignment at the end of the year. THE ASSIGNMENT: Today, you will be creating a "Poster" that explains and illustrates a word. The words are all geographic in nature and can be researched at the following website: To illustrate your poster, you will be able to use any resources that you wish, including the following:
LOOKING STUFF UP: Please research the meaning of your term. If the Geography Dictionary is not sufficient, you can use any other online resources needed to understand your word. THE WORDS:
THE POSTER: Your Poster MUST include the following information, laid out in an eye-catching and appealing way that is easy to read and understand:
THE POSTER SIZE: Your work must be a created on an 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of paper. If you create your work in a computer program, such as Word, etc., please PRINT your final product.
