"The Saving Money Project"

ASSIGNMENT: We have been talking about BUDGETS for awhile now. But what are some good ways to actually get yourself to SAVE MONEY? It is harder than you think, but can be done, if you are willing to make some sacrifices.

THE PROJECT: There are lots of interesting and creative ways to save money out there in the world, put forward by finiancial experts and advisers. For this project, we will investigate some of them and present them for the consideration of others.

HOW TO GET INFORMATION REGARDING SAVING MONEY: Mr. B. is providing you with a number of different savings options for you to consider. Please spend some time reviewing and summarizing these articles as the basis for your project. You will also need to add a couple of your own ideas that you find in your research to your presentation, as you are required to demonstrate TEN DIFFERENT SAVINGS IDEASt:.

HOW TO RESEARCH: You have some sample links. Use them. Figure out what each savings idea involves. Document these savings ideas in a format that would be presentable to others (Google Slides Presentation, Prezi, Poster, whatever...) PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU DOCUMENTS AT LEAST TEN IDEAS FOR SAVINGS THAT YOU FIND IN YOUR RESEARCH!

WHAT TO PRESENT: In your presentation, make sure that you illustrate all of the following:

  1. How the savings idea works (what does the budgeter have to do for this savings trick.)
  2. Whether or not YOU think that the savings plan would work to actually save money and why.
  3. How much a budgeter can expect to save using this savings idea.
  4. Feel free to include GRAPHS or CHARTS that will help to make your point in your presentations!
  5. As a conclusion, please describe which of the 10 SAVINGS IDEAS you would could see implimenting into your own financial life and why.

SUBMISSION OF PROJECT:You will need to share or submit your final presenation with Mr. B. for grading.

GRADING: This project will be worth a total of 50 points. You will be graded on your presentation of each of thethe 10 different savings ideas that you demonstrate, 5 points per idea.
