"Forms of Government" Research and Presentation- RIANNA

BACKGROUND:

We have discussed the absolute basics regarding a number of different forms of government.  Now, you will be doing some further research into these terms.

THE ASSIGNMENT:

Step 1:  You will be researching the various types of governments that we discussed in class recently:

GOVERNMENT 1 SENTENCE DEFINITION COUNTRY/AREA FLAG (if possible)
Constitutional Monarchy
      
Confederated Government
      
Theocracy
      
Fascism
      
Dictatorship
      
Absolute Monarchy
      
Constitutional Republic (not US)

Step 2: Get on your computer. Do a Google search on each term, you are looking for a ONE SENTENCE definition of the type of government (you can use notes, as well!) and a specific country or a region that has experienced each form of government or economic system at some time in the past (present day systems would be OK, as well). 

PRESENTATION of FINDINGS:  Develop a table or chart that you can use to demonstrate your findings with the rest of the class. 

DUE DATE:

We will be presenting your findings in class on Friday, the 18th of September.

GRADING: I will be grading this one as follows:

• Proper completion of the Governments Chart: 50 points.
• Proper presentation of Government Analysis findings: 50 points.
• Grade will be given on a 0/50/100 percent basis.  I expect thorough research, thought and presentations.
